Our client is looking for Sr Application Developer focused in COBOL to join their team. This client is a healthcare administration company who has a legacy home-grown eclaims system that is currently primarily in COBOL. The team is looking for someone to join the team, learn the current environment and system, and then help them as they enhance the system and migrate into Java. We are looking for someone who is strong with COBOL programming and basic java experience but who is eager to learn and grow their Java skills. The team leads weekly professional development courses for everyone on the team. You will be helping to transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language. You will also be creating flowcharts and other documentation related to the integration, use, and testing of the application. This is a fully remote role with flexibility to choose the working hours that accommodate your schedule the best. The salary for this role is $110-120K.
