Job Description

As a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) contract, your daily responsibilities would typically include:

Morning Briefings: Participate in team stand-up meetings to discuss project updates, set priorities, and align with interdisciplinary teams, including architects and cybersecurity specialists.

Model Development: Create and maintain system models in modeling environments, ensuring they accurately reflect system requirements and design specifications.

Data Integration and Analysis: Integrate and analyze data from various sources to inform design decisions, utilizing simulations to assess system performance.

Requirement Verification: Review and validate system requirements within the models, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational alignment.

Documentation: Document modeling processes, decisions, and outcomes, preparing reports or presentations for stakeholders on technical findings and recommendations.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate meetings with project stakeholders to gather feedback and make iterative improvements to system documentation and models.

Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing learning to stay updated with MBSE methodologies and practices through webinars and training sessions.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience working in a professional environment
Experience using engineering to inform analysis of capability alternatives and concepts
Knowledge of systems engineering tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, SparxEA, and Doors
Knowledge of systems engineering processes, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, interface design, system integration, and verification and testing
Ability to integrate with a multi-functional team for cross-disciplinary efforts
Ability to learn practical application of SysML and UAF modeling languages and applying this common structure to an MBSE solution
Secret clearance
Bachelors degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience developing operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for architectures using DoDAF and UAF standards
Secret clearance
Masters degree in Systems Engineering
ASEP or CSEP INCOSE Certification
OSCMP Certification
