Job Description

A client of Insight Globals is seeking a Lead Cloud Architect to join their dynamic team in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and services, with an emphasis on leading cloud initiatives and projects. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust cloud solutions that meet our organizations strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using PaaS and IaaS environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications and services into the cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues within cloud computing environments and provide effective solutions to enhance system performance and uptime.
- Oversee data transfer processes, load balancing, and access control measures to ensure secure and efficient operations.
- Lead the standup of new cloud enclaves and environments, ensuring they adhere to best practices and security protocols.
- Upgrade and optimize existing cloud systems to improve performance and security.
- Configure and instantiate necessary cloud components, including data-diodes, for enhanced security and efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide guidance to junior staff, with the capability to operate independently in complex situations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree or higher in Data Science or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in cloud architecture or related fields, with a total of 8-10 years of overall IT experience.
- Active Secret Clearance is required.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more cloud platforms, including but not limited to:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Microsoft Azure
- Cloud 1
- Platform 1
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as networking, security, and compliance.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting cloud environments and systems administration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience

BS or higher degree in Data Science or Computer Science with 2 years of experience
Active Secret Clearance
8-10 years of overall related IT experience
Experience in cloud infrastructure, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), data transfer, load balancing, and access controls.
Experience in troubleshooting issues with cloud computing environments/platforms, providing necessary cloud services, integrating new applications, standup of new enclaves/environments, upgrading/optimizing cloud systems/environments, instantiation/configuration of data-diodes.
Experience must include one or more of the following:
o Amazon Web Services
o Microsoft Azure
o Cloud 1
o Platform 1
Ability to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff.
