Job Description

We are looking for a Computer/Lab Technician to sit in Miami, FL and support one of our large medical device manufacturing clients. This candidate will be working within the R&D team, overseeing the setup, testing, maintenance, debugging, and troubleshooting of commercial grade computer equipment and software configurations. They will use Linux operating systems to create software images from the cloud and install them on the computers. Day-to-day the candidate will manage the lab and server room to maintain the software/hardware configuration. They will handle equipment records and work logs while also documenting work instructions, standard procedures, and test reports. The hourly range for this candidate is $24-27.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 3-5 years of experience as a technician
- Highly skilled with computers (GPU/CPU, motherboards, network cards, drivers, chipsets), servers, peripheral devices (printers, monitors, touch screens), and other networking equipment
- Background in working with hardware and software, handling installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Experience with networking and Linux systems (boot, task manager, scheduler, shell script configuration control)
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Self-motivated and great problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment
