Job Description

DAY TO DAY: Our client is looking for a Video Production Coordinator to join their team! In this role, youll coordinate both studio and field productions, serve as a videographer for both settings, and take on key responsibilities as the lead live-stream technician, post-production supervisor, and lead editor as needed. Additionally, youll supervise, instruct, and mentor the Post-Production Video Specialist, overseeing editing tasks and managing post-production workflow, storage (both internal and external), and internal communication.
Responsibilities Include (But aren't limited to):
Post-Production Supervision and Editing:
Responsible for all aspects of the post-production workflow.
Assign editing tasks to team members when necessary and monitor progress. Lead the editing process to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
Maintain a strong understanding of editing software and techniques.
Asset Organization and Versioning:
Collaborate with team members to organize and maintain copies and versioning of assets.
Ensure proper storage and backup of all video assets.
Implement efficient systems for asset management and retrieval.
Studio and Field Production:
Serve as the primary videographer for studio and field productions.
Operate video equipment and ensure high-quality footage.
Stay updated on the latest videography techniques and equipment.
Including periodic travel to support special events and on-location productions.
Coordination of Studio and Field Productions:
Plan and coordinate studio and field productions, including scheduling and logistics.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth production processes.
Assist in organizing necessary equipment and resources for each project.
Live-Stream Technician:
Assist with live-streaming setups and technical aspects during live events.
Ensure smooth streaming and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Supervision and Mentoring:
Provide guidance and instruction to the Video Production Specialist I.
Mentor junior team members, encouraging growth and development.
Advise on performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Studio and Gear Maintenance:
Maintain studio facilities, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully functional.
Manage inventory of production gear, including monitoring expendables and making replacement recommendations.
Stay informed about new production technologies and recommend equipment upgrades.

Required Skills & Experience

MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or Film/Television/Broadcasting required
- 5 yrs of video editing experience for web, television and/or social media
- Up-to-date demo reel or sample work
- Experience following specific post-production delivery systems and formats, social media guidelines and aspect ratio templates to meet video production standards
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encoder and Audition
- Strong video editing experience with the ability to create high quality end products
- Color grading experience
- Understanding of pacing, audio mix and overall look and feel of the final piece, acting as Producer/Editor
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Project management experience, handling multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
