Job Description

Conduct inspections for compliance with approved Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)

Oversee Contractor Compliance with other issued State and Federal Permits

Provide guidance to contractors to implement appropriate BMPs for specific situations

Some knowledge of Florida's ecology is helpful, but not required

Majority of the work locations are on transmission corridors throughout Florida

The position will utilize GPS field equipment and IPad Tablets to gather and record data

Pay Rate: 28-33/HR

Salary: 60-70K

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors of Science degree in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Studies or other related majors OR have 5 years prior experience with Environmental Compliance for linear projects

Experience with wetland delineations or listed species surveys is also very helpful including Gopher Tortoises, Scrub Jays, Sand Skinks, Burrowing Owls and other species

The position requires good verbal communication and coordination skills

The successful applicant will self-motivated and a team player with good communication skills

Must be willing to work outdoors in the Florida Climate year-round

Preference will be given to candidates with past experience with environmental permit compliance of linear projects
