An employer in the Healthcare software industry is looking for a Senior Big Data Engineer to join their team remotely in the United States. This individual will be joining a team responsible for the further development and enhancement of a platform that stores Healthcare Provider Data so that it is accessible for Healthcare Payers. This is a cloud based data platform built on AWS that leverages Scala ,Spark & some Python with a React/RestAPI based front-end (This individual will only be expected to contribute on the backend/data engineering side).
Example tasks include:
ETL transformation of client raw data and transforming it into the appropriate format for ingestion/processing
Building highly scalable AWS infrastructure from scratch or through 3rd party systems
Developing scalable data pipelines
