An employer in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to oversee structural engineering designs of all types of structures and/or facilities for government, commercial and private clients. This role pays anywhere from $95,000-$120,000 a year depending on experience and certifications.
Responsibilities include development of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit. Selection of building gravity and lateral systems. Designs may include facility design, working closely with other disciplines, or may be stand-alone structural projects such as retaining walls. Candidate will help manage junior staff, including engineers and/or drafters. Projects may include travel, field measurements/data gathering, calculations and/or drafting by the engineer. You will be part of helping the US military with some of their MILCON design/construction efforts.
Job Responsibilities
Produces plans, reports, and specifications
Assists in developing drafting and project standards
Assists in preparation of cost estimates
Assists in preparation of inspection reports
Performs quality control and quality assurance
Performs structural calculations for design of buildings and retaining walls
Performs structural drafting
Works closely with junior engineering and drafting staff

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or similar
- Must have structural analysis and design experience on commercial facilities.
- Must be a licensed P.E.
