Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Construction Inspector for a large engineering consulting firm in the Panhandle, FL. This individual will Perform daily inspection of construction projects monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings and project specifications. Inspections may cross multiple inspection disciplines or within a specified area of expertise including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc. Inspection may include visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance with the plans and specifications. This person will also be responsible for preparing inspection reports and providing written documentation of observations and testing of materials. They will communicate findings to engineer or project manager and when requested collaborate with the project team on solutions to potential issues. On average, this individual can expect to perform inspections on 1-3 sites per day.

Required Skills & Experience

* GED or High School Diploma

* Valid Drivers License with acceptable violation history

* ICC certification

o (structural steel, concrete, wood framing, post tension, masonry, etc.)

* Good communication skills

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Certifications:

o ICC Certification (reinforced concrete, spray-applied fireproofing, structural masonry, prestressed/post-tensioned concrete, Structural Steel -- Bolting, Structural Steel -- Welding).

o AWS (American Welding Society)

o CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)

o NICET Level II Certification in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils).

o NICET level II certification in Geotechnical (Construction, Laboratory, Exploration Generalist)

o ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) Level II certification

o ACI Certification (American Concrete Institute) -- Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Strength Testing Technician Grade I, etc.)

* MEP background/knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)
