A client of Insight Global is looking for a Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for focusing predominantly on the hardware side and making sure everything is set up properly to deploy. This role requires a very strong understanding of Hyper-V in the backend and support with managing cluster's and updating servers/deploying them. The team has a shared workload for incoming internal tickets but, this persons role will be mostly projects based. This organization does have a separate security team but this persons role will include patching, relaying recommendations, setting up permission, and setting up SSO to manage. The ideal candidate for this position can jump right in with working on brand new systems and has an eagerness to grow in the role. This position is three days on-site and two days fully-remote.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 3-8 years of Systems engineering experience managing physical and virtual servers
- Hyper-V experience managing clusters
- Strong understanding of how SAMAL (Azure SSO)
- VMware
- Azure Microsoft stack
Basic Networking experience
