Job Description

A customer of ours is searching for a Tier 1 SDN technician to add to their growing team. The ideal person for this position will be somebody who has experience troubleshooting Tier 1 & Tier 2 SATCOM technical issues over the phone and computer. This person will begin their role training for the first 30 days, they will take courses gaining actual certifications from IDirect and valuable experience. After that initial training period, they will be on-site at our clients physical location within SOCOM. They will be providing Tier 1 & some Tier 2 SATCOM specific support to end users over the phone and computer with a mission focus pertaining to personnel on the ground (Nodes, TOC's etc.), and leading them through these troubleshooting steps. They will have Tier 2 and Tier 3 personnel on-site to escalate issues to as well.

There are Day/Night Shifts, from 7:00AM-7:00PM EST and 7:00PM-7:00AM EST. The typical weekly workload will be days of 12 hour shifts, a day off, another 12 hour shift, and then a 4-hour on call shift to close out the week.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ year of hands on SATCOM Experience (SATCOM Terminals, VSAT etc.)
- Active TS with SCI Eligibility or TS/SCI clearance.
- Sec+ Certification (If they do not have it, will have 90 days to obtain after hire.)
