Provides technical support to the Biomedical Engineering Department on the preventative and corrective maintenance, calibration, and safety testing of imaging equipment. Has specialized training and is able to work independently on medical imaging equipment such as Radiographic, Fluoroscopic, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Cat Scanners, and Cardiac Catheterization / Vascular Imaging Systems. May also provide additional services and support on Ultrasound Imaging, CR and Printing Devices, and other accessories and devices applicable to the imaging environment. The job requires that the technician is able to apply best practices to assure that equipment history is accurately and timely maintain in agreement with department policies and procedures. Clear, detailed, and timely documentation of all preventive maintenance and repairs are absolutely necessary in order to meet industry standards and compliance. This position also requires a high degree of flexibility, customer service, and good communication skills. Some on call will also be required/offered
