An employer in the healthcare software industry is looking for a Senior MySQL DBA to join their team remotely in the United States.
This individual will be joining a team of 5 Database Administrators that own database operations for Oracle, SQL, mySQL, PostreSQL databases. This person will specifically be responsible for MySQL DBA work and will be working in a multi-TB database environment. This resource is needed in order to free up bandwidth for other team members to assist with Cloud Migration and Modernization efforts.
Qualified candidates should have experience w/ MySQL version 8 and have experience working with MySQL Enterprise Monitor, Backup & Recovery, Encryption, and Audit features. Ideally this candidate has experience w/ DDL & DML statements, Linux OS and understand how to operate in environments that practice DevOps (ex: kicking off jenkins pipelines).
There will be an on-call rotation required that is once every 7 weeks, but Tier 1 support is handled by a separate team so they will only be engaged in escalations.
Candidates should be aware that responsibilities are not siloed in this environment so they should be open to assisting in areas outside of just MySQL Database work.
