Job Description

Role Overview: Our Client is looking for an Inbound Domestic Logistics Planner to join our Operations team and manage and track all inbound data signals to ensure on time and consistent flow of inventory from our vendors to our distribution center. The Inbound Domestic Logistics Planner will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Manage domestic freight

Manage relationships with our small parcel and freight forwarding partners

Assist with negotiated rate structures with small parcel and freight forwarding partners as well as directly with carriers in support of international ocean, parcel, and air freight services

Coordinate and track shipments from our factories and warehouses.

Identify late shipments and communicate effectively to internal and external parties ensuring accountability of our partners and system accuracy on delivery dates.

Support domestic and international transportation activities including preparation of commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documents

Analyze transit times and work with planners to ensure planning systems are using the correct parameters and that the most cost-effective method and path of transportation is being used to ensure no stock outs

Review invoices to ensure accurate billing

Review customs documents to ensure compliance and correct duty rates are being charged

Partner with internal teams and freight forwarders on application of HTS codes.

Review and update existing transportation and supply chain solutions as client business activities change and provide improvement recommendations for current or future transportation and logistical process

Review supplier performance against contractual obligations, service levels, and business expectations

Other projects as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

* 2-3 years of experience in a logistics role in a corporate

* Comfortable making phone calls to plan shipments

* Organized and can schedule appointments, book domestic product shipments, transfers for the trucks, and troubleshoot any issues with deliveries.

* Familiar with LTL (Less than truckload)

* Can perform rate review as well as identify disruptions.

* Proficient with Excel -- used for reporting

* Good Communication - polished English

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bilingual - Spanish

* Pivot tables and vlookups
