Insight Global is seeking an Payroll Manager to join our client's team. This is a global law firm with an office presence required in Doral, FL five days per week. The International Payroll Manager is responsible for managing payroll processing operations for our client's international offices located across Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The role will also serve as back-up to the Senior Payroll Manager, supporting the U.S. exempt and non-exempt payroll processing, including the processing of Shareholder (Partner) compensation. The International Payroll Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Duties include the below:
-Processes and monitors payroll processing of international offices
-Ensures that accounting journal entries are entered into our Aderant accounting system reflecting the payroll activity
-Establishes policies and processes that ensures accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, garnishments, benefits and company deductions
-Reviews for accuracy time entries in Workday prior to transmission to third party payroll vendor
-Maintains current knowledge base of individual international and state law differences, including required reporting forms; ensures accurate and on-time governmental reporting and compliance
-Resolves payroll inquiries; partners with Finance, Talent Services, and Benefits team to resolve issues that affect payroll and provides accurate information
-Prepares and analyses reports and payroll schedules including the reconciliation of payroll accounts and corrects errors
-Develops and produces periodic payroll-related financial, statistical and operational reports
-Prepares materials for and responds to requests from internal and external auditors
-Presents recommendations to CFO and Senior Payroll Manager for process improvement and provides resolutions of complex issues
-Serves as a liaison with payroll vendor and maintains current knowledge of software capabilities; ensures optimal utilization of vendor's service offerings and timely installation of upgrades
-Recommends changes in methods or procedures to improve the efficiency of the payroll function
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience in related field preferred
-8+ years of payroll experience, including in-depth knowledge of multi-state tax laws and regulatory requirements
-Experience documenting payroll procedures and processes
-Comprehensive knowledge of any relevant payroll software
-Highly proficient in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
-Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
