Insight Global is looking for Entry Level Engineers for a client in the Lutz, Florida location. This is the first level of the Engineering classification. The Engineers will provide engineering/technical expertise to solve problems in a specific area of expertise, with close supervision. They are expected to develop skills in their field of study, and the ability to work with greater independence.
The Engineers will be assigned to a project that requires utility pole design mapping. They will be given survey packets of the poles they are mapping. These surveys were collected by the people out in the field. With the survey packets they will know the geographic location of the poles and the different assets (wires, boxes, etc.) attached to each pole. They will use all this information to digitally create the design "distribution" map.
Bachelor's degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering Program - specifically in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Have a valid driver license - this is not a driving role but it is required to have a license.
Understanding of basic electricity and power quality.
Must be passionate about getting into the utilities field.
