Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Digital Practice Technology lead to join one of their A/E clients. This person will be responsible for leading a team that enhances the firm's use of technology in the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects. The position requires a deep understanding of digital trends within the horizontal built environment and a track record of applying the latest 3D technology to intricate infrastructure projects. And more Importantly this person will be responsible for Collaborating closely with our Information Technology team, this role is entrusted with the responsibility of spearheading the development and operation of best practices, software selection and deployment, innovative workflows, and cutting-edge approaches that define how our client approaches its work.
Some Primary Responsibilities:
* Build and lead the Digital Practice team supporting our Infrastructure Business Unit.
* Identify, introduce, and advocate for the use of the latest technology trends and advancements in transportation project delivery.
* Assess individual and collective technology skillsets across the firm and build a technology training program that keeps our workforce at the cutting edge.
* Partner with project managers in the selection of key technologies for client projects and conduct regular, timely assessments of the resulting models throughout the project lifecycle.
* Track changes to client design standards and workspaces and introduce those changes into the RS&H environment.
* Develop and lead a digital practice technology support program that leverages and advances the talents of our distributed workforce.
* Monitor and track progress of design activities for opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce design time, and develop standards for plan production.
* Support our project teams in discussions with clients on technology trends and opportunities.
* Partner with Information Technology to design and implement programs for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our design software portfolio.
* Present RS&H work at conferences and other events to enhance our brand in the industry.
* Establish partnerships with vendors, other design firms, and education institutions.
* Analyze current CAD application usage and plan for growth in software licensing and technical architecture.
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 8 years of Civil Engineering applicable experience
* Deep experience with Bentley design software, construction, and project management products: OpenRoads, ProjectWise, LumenRT, MicroStation, PowerInRoads, PowerGeoPak, and ContextCapture.
* Experience working with state DOTs to develop and deploy Bentley workspace configurations.
* Comes from an Architecture/Engineering firm background.
* Proven experience developing and implementing a new technology across company.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an applied, job-related technical field.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience with Autodesk products such as Civil 3d, Infraworks, Innovyze, Vehicle Tracking, Recap.
* Knowledge of the decarbonization agenda in the transport sector
* Knowledge of the energy and built environment sectors
* Digital Twin/Context Captures/IoT
