The Senior Audiovisual Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audiovisual experiences and seamless virtual collaboration for our executive team and large department hybrid events. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and executing on aspects of these events, scheduling, planning, and supporting. All to ensure they run smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. The Senior Audiovisual Specialist will collaborate closely with executives, department administrative assistances, facilities, internal entertainment, IT teams, and other stakeholders to design, plan, and execute successful events that align with organizational goals and expectations.
The Senior Audiovisual Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and supporting on-campus conference rooms and meeting spaces that contain video conferencing equipment. This includes all hardware and software updates ensuring effective operations.
Other responsibilities:
· Plan and manage all aspects of events for executives, including virtual meetings, conferences, town halls, and webinars.
· Provide technical expertise and support for all audiovisual equipment, ensuring its proper setup, operation, and maintenance.
· Coordinate with executives and event organizers to understand event objectives, requirements, and technical specifications.
· Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement AV solutions that enhance virtual collaboration and engagement.
· Conduct pre-event testing, rehearsals, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless event execution.
· Monitor live events, addressing technical issues promptly and ensuring uninterrupted audiovisual quality.
· Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to secure necessary equipment, resources, and technical support.
· Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance event experiences.
· Provide training and guidance to executives and event participants on using AV equipment and features effectively.
· Create and maintain documentation, including event workflows, technical specifications, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience with AV, event technician, or a similar role
* In-depth knowledge of audiovisual equipment, video conferencing platforms (specifically Microsoft Teams), and streaming technologies.
* Extensive knowledge of Audiovisual digital cameras (SDI/HDMI), webcams, amplifiers, and production switchers. Strong understanding of virtual event production and live streaming techniques
* Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment, including cameras, microphones, speakers, and video switchers.
* Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges efficiently
* Project Management and ITIL experience
* Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pound
