Software Architect - ONSITE

Software Architect, Duties & Responsibilities

* Design and implement software architectures that meet the needs of our customers and business goals.

* Lead and mentor software development teams in the implementation of software architectures.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that software architectures meet those requirements.

* Develop and maintain software architecture documentation.

* Troubleshoot and resolve software architecture issues.

* Stay up-to-date on the latest software development trends and technologies.

* Collaborate to build cross-functional technical roadmaps, assess emerging technologies, and provide technical expertise for next-generation initiatives.

* Collaborate with leadership on mediums and messages that drive the intended direction of the organization with measurable results.

* Develops a partnering and professional relationship with peer technology management that allows for broad development of new concepts, ideas, and innovation.

* Provides occasional after-hours support to answer questions and resolve problems

* 15 years prior experience in architect or engineering roles across multiple infrastructure domains including cloud (compute, storage, network/routing, security, data center, endpoint, disaster recovery, etc.) required. Expert knowledge of modern infrastructure process, design, and architecture in private and hybrid cloud environments required. Experience in leading technical staff preferred.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technology related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required

* Prior experience driving transformational change and driving measurable improvements, determining cloud architecture and delivering cloud solutions in Azure and/or AWS

* Experience in leading and mentoring software development teams.

* Strong understanding of software architecture principles and practices, experience with a variety of software development tools and technologies.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
