Job Description

A real estate asset management client of Insight Global is looking for a Data Analyst (PowerBI) to join their Applications team in a hybrid model out of Orlando, FL. This analyst will be responsible for creating and managing data sets, creating visualizations, reports and dashboards, and troubleshooting data issues. Additional responsibilities will include designing and developing Power BI visualizations and reports after gathering and analyzing data, and subsequently monitoring the performance of Power BI visualizations to make necessary improvements. A successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Application Development team throughout the product development process to optimize SQL servers for storage and optimize T-SQL code for maximum performance. The application team is in the process of modernizing and unifying the clients data reporting, software platforms and tech stacks. The data analyst will be a key member of the initiative by providing accessible visualizations which will be shared across the company.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience with the Power BI process (data mining to visualization creation)

- Direct experience creating, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards

- Proficient within T-SQL

- Experience with the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence stack (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), and Excel/Power Query

- Experience with data warehousing, data mining, and data modeling concepts

- Experience communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to relay updates and findings

- Comfort working in an Azure Cloud environment

Bachelor's degree in Computer science, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, or a related quantitative field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Commercial real estate industry knowledge

- Experience with cloud data management and analytics in a multi-cloud environment using Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)and Amazon AWS
