This candidate responsible for contract negotiations, performance, and relationship management of the agreements with IT vendors. They must have a strong executive presence as they will be communicating with stakeholders, leveraging relationships, and pushing roadmap conversations to ensure the company's focus is maintained on the most strategic vendors. This person will guide roadmap discussions and provide analytics on vendor portfolios with recommendations that reduce risk and benefit the company.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on management experience with Vendor Management strategies and best practices
- Experience designing and executing vendor performance monitoring, tracking, and reporting strategies (ex. vendor score-carding, contractual SLA metric compliance, and issue/grievance resolution)
- Experience building vendor management dashboards and executive reports
- Experience working with large vendors like SAP, IBM, ServiceNow, Microsoft
- Sharp; experience communicating with IT stakeholders
- Well-versed in key contract terminology and legal language/concepts used in vendor contracts
- Background in / solid grasp of financial concepts such as depreciation schedules, dollar costing, and total cost of ownership
- Background in procurement
