Job Description
A client of Insight Global's is looking for a Security Architect I to be responsible for research, evaluation, design, testing, and recommending/planning the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software and analyze its impact on the existing environment. They will provide technical and managerial expertise for the administration of security tools. They will engage in various security projects and initiatives involving highly sensitive information and may perform data mining and analysis of highly sensitive data. They will lead the development of new security processes and procedures and apply knowledge and experience of security issues and systems to develop process improvements. This is an exciting role as you are responsible for researching, coming up with solutions, plans to put that solution in place, then finally once the solution is put in place it will be passed off to an external partner to manage. You will work with an immediate team of 3 side by side with an Architect II and the company has security team of around 17 folks.
Required Skills & Experience
* CISSP (something equivalent -- SANS security certificate)
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (10+ years overall exp if no degree)
* 7+ years of experience in information security with focus on Security Architecture, Operations, Cryptography, Network Security (main focus) or Security Forensics
* Firewalls (ideally Fortinet/Palo Alto), routers, email security, IPS security, Web Proxy
* Knowledge of OIDC/SAML, Microsoft Active Directory Services, Mainframe and RCAF, LDAP
* Software defined networking skills -- SDN (still send to me if they don't have)
* Good social skills/communication -- will be making presentations to other managers outside of the security groups to gather and understand requirements
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Architecture experience
