A large employer specializing in manufacturing open web steel joists and decking is looking for a Program Manager, Design Technology to support the company's new engineering software system build out. This system will be highly critical to the success of the business as it will be able to perform the end to end design and delivery of the joists and trusses that the company manufactures. This main responsibility of the Implementation Consultant will be to work directly with the Design, Engineering, AND Sales teams and Systems Analyst to develop top-level business requirements, where he/she will utilize his/her expertise in BIM software to lead and architect the successful development of this new homegrown system. He/she will lead the investigation and selection of off-the-shelf functionality within the ACE environment, as well as develop detailed program and modular function specifications that are custom to what the company needs.
10+ years of experience across Engineering and/or Information Technology , including 2+ years of experience working with steel or wood open joists/trusses
Significant experience developing and architecting major software systems within the ACE environment
Prior experience architecting and implementing a new software solution from scratch
Extensive knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM) systems, with extensive understanding of modular specifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Engineering (Structural/Civil)
Hands on experience programming in C/C++/C#
