The backup infrastructure recovery engineer is responsible for creating and executing restoral plans for active backup production devices. This will include identifying backup mechanisms required to restore an existing production backup device (master server, media server, Data Domain, Virtual Avamar grid and Cohesity cluster) to production ready with all backup configurations in place and ready for production use. The role requires a self-starter to work with engineering, operations and associated vendors to identify all requirements on each backup product certified for use in our enterprise architecture systems of record to a fully restored configuration and client ready for use. The role assumes a working device was factory reset and the steps required to fully restore with exception of client data are documented, tested, operationalized and available for use across the enterprise.
