We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in support of various federal and commercial Aerospace clients. Position is 100% onsite in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
- Engineering, design and analysis of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems and sub-assemblies
- Performing stress and structural analysis
- Use Autodesk and SOLIDWORKS
- Work with other team members to develop mechanical systems and components
- Promote and manage research and development of new products
- Perform engineering analyses on products to ensure accurate and repeatable results
- Analysis and material selection of design components
- Designs targeting highly constrained size, weight, and power environments
- Attend and present design reviews
- Develop manufacturing procedures for designed components
- Some travel may be required
- Use industry standards for drawings and drawing control systems
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain a security clearance
- ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Avionics/Electrical Engineering
- 510 years of experience with aviation electrical, or avionics development and/or integration
- Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA), ideally using FEMAP or NASTRAN, or similar software
- Prior experience or working understanding with aircraft electrical systems and/or integrated avionics systems
- Use of design tools such as SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk, or similar programs
- General level of aircraft operational knowledge
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language
