Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a large enterprise finance team. This individual will play a critical role in leading the month-end close process, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and is highly proficient in Excel, as approximately 85% of the role will involve financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This position will also provide guidance to Staff Accountants throughout the close process and support audit and quarterly reporting activities.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate month-end close activities within a highly compressed 6-business-day close cycle
• Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules
• Guide and support Staff Accountants throughout the close process and ensure deadlines are met
• Analyze financial data, research variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to reconcile and analyze large data sets
• Work within legacy systems and support manual accounting processes to ensure reporting accuracy
• Assist with quarterly reporting and internal/external audit requests
• Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong month-end close experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• General ledger accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience working within a mid-sized to large enterprise environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• CPA
• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience supporting internal or external audits
• Experience working in legacy systems with manual accounting processes
• Experience mentoring or leading junior accounting staff
