Job Description

Overview: Insight Global is seeking a hands‑on, senior‑level cybersecurity engineer to serve as the sole, foundational security engineer for the organization. This role blends 50% day‑to‑day security operations with 50% forward‑looking engineering and modernization, supporting a mission‑driven healthcare environment.
Ideal for someone who can own security end‑to‑end, operate independently, modernize legacy environments, and clearly communicate security risks to non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Own security operations: alert monitoring, threat triage, and incident response
• Perform vulnerability scans and remediate findings directly
• Configure and optimize security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, scanning)
• Support HIPAA and NIST compliance initiatives
• Manage IAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
• Partner with contractors while maintaining overall security architecture
• Support modernization efforts (Azure, hybrid cloud, O365)
• Build dashboards, reporting, and automation where possible
• Automating processes to design and scale future‑state security architecture
