IT Project Manager

Overview: Insight Global is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support Howard University Hospital’s Information Systems department within the Project Management Office (PMO). This individual will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent, high‑visibility IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple concurrent IT projects across the hospital’s IT portfolio
• Own the full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and close‑out
• Develop and maintain all project documentation including charters, schedules, work plans, and status reports
• Track and report project progress to IT leadership on at least a weekly basis
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
• Proactively manage scope, timeline, and resource changes
• Serve as the primary liaison between IT leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and SMEs
• Prepare and manage project budgets
• Apply project management best practices and methodologies, including Agile where applicable

Must-Haves:
• 5+ years of progressive IT Project Management experience
• Experience managing enterprise software or systems implementation projects
• Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital IT environment
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget
• PMP certification (required)
• Experience working in or alongside Agile project environments
