Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Secret ISSO Support Specialist supporting a large government client, working hybrid in NW Washington, DC. This role provides analytical, coordination, and compliance‑tracking support for IT security and authorization activities across multiple systems and vendors. The individual supports security documentation efforts, tracks progress toward authorization milestones, and produces reporting to help stakeholders understand compliance status, risks, and trends. The role is advisory in nature and focuses on tracking, coordination, documentation review, and executive‑level reporting.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Track submission timelines for IT security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and required updates
- Review security documentation for completeness against established requirements and identify gaps or missing elements
- Maintain compliance trackers and dashboards to monitor progress toward authorization milestones
- Track authorization and assessment activities, including documentation submissions, audit timelines, remediation items, and approval milestones
- Coordinate meetings among technical teams, security stakeholders, and leadership to support authorization and compliance activities
- Document meeting outcomes, action items, and follow‑ups to ensure accountability and progress
- Monitor submission of required compliance reports and audits, reviewing materials for completeness and alignment with requirements
- Track adherence to website and digital standards, monitoring changes to applicable policies and flagging potential impacts
- Maintain deliverables matrices to monitor schedules, dependencies, and potential delays
- Identify risks to compliance or schedule and provide written analysis and summaries for leadership awareness
- Prepare monthly status reports, executive summaries, and briefing materials that clearly communicate compliance posture and trends
- Analyze systemic issues and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and visibility (advisory only)
Compensation:
$50-68/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Secret clearance
• 5–7 years supporting federal IT security compliance or RMF environments
• Experience supporting at least one ATO lifecycle in a federal agency
• Experience supporting compliance tracking for contractor deliverables
• Experience working in multi-stakeholder federal environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with FedRAMP
• Experience within Department of State or similar civilian federal agency
• Experience working with IRM/CIO ATO processes
• Experience supporting consular or data-sensitive systems
• Experience supporting IDIQ contract oversight environments
