Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a qualified Engineer who sits in Washington, DC to join a national architectural, interiors, program and construction management and Infrastructure firm based in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
Review and prepare calculations, permit applications, monitoring plans and progress reports
Develop conceptual drawings related to infrastructure and shop drawing review, response to requests for information, and addressing construction issues and conflicts as they arise.
Develop construction documents and specifications
Conduct GIS map creation and exhibit development
Perform spatial analysis related to infrastructure, ecological restoration and/or development

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering
5+ years of experience as a design / GIS engineer
Proficient in GIS
Ability to create GIS maps and figures
Experience writing reports
Understands general pipe repair concepts/terms (bypass pumping, bulkheads, slip lining, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with contract documents in Fairfax County and Loudon County
Has a District PE, or is able to get a PE within 6 months-1 year of hire (DC, Virginia, and Maryland PE)
