Job Description

The 2110 Broadcast Engineer is a senior-level technical specialist responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting mission-critical broadcast systems in IP media environments using SMPTE ST 2110/AES67 alongside traditional SDI (3G/12G) workflows.
This role ensures 24/7 reliability and compliance for live production, playout, and multi-platform distribution. The position demands deep expertise in 2110 broadcast engineering, including PTP synchronization, multicast configuration, and NMOS workflows

Required Skills & Experience

-2110 & IP Broadcast Systems Support
• Operate, monitor, and maintain SMPTE ST 2110 systems, including AES67 audio and NMOS IS-04/IS-05 device registration/control.
• Configure and troubleshoot multicast routing (IGMP/PIM), VLAN assignments, and QoS for IP broadcast networks.
• Ensure PTP clock accuracy and stability for all IP media devices.
• Use broadcast IP analysis tools (Telestream PRISM, Leader LV5600) to verify packet timing, jitter, and 2110 stream integrity.
Hybrid IP/Baseband Operations
• Support and maintain SDI (3G/12G) workflows, frame syncs, up/down/cross converters, DAs, and multiviewers.
• Manage routing switchers (Evertz, Ross Ultrix, Grass Valley) in hybrid IP/baseband environments.
• Perform QC on outbound feeds for OTA, cable, OTT, and streaming platforms.
