Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Build out a suite of informatic solutions that are focused on improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes
• IT focus including integration, compliance with health standards and risk mitigation, implementing risk analysis and mitigation strategies, enhancing system design and usability, conducting rigorous system testing, and promoting system safety and resilience
• Managing and analyzing health data, developing and implementing health IT systems, and ensuring interoperability across various health technologies
• Areas of focus may include clinical informatics, biomedical informatics, and public health informatics, with an emphasis on applying these disciplines to improve Veterans’ care
• The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, drive innovation in health IT integration, and play a crucial role in shaping PFS's clinical informatics capabilities 
• Demonstrated experience building and implementing informatics solutions to improve health outcomes  
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of data and informatics specialists  
Track record of developing and applying innovative informatics capabilities across clinical, biomedical, and public health domains
• Familiarity with the standard operations of VHA
• Successful engagement with organizational senior leadership
• More than 6 years’ experience supporting a large healthcare corporation or healthcare Government agency.
• The Program Manager must be available to attend meetings at 810 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20240 without incurring travel expense to the Government.
• Experience in labor hour task order management
Finance experience within VHA is required

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualifications 
• Advanced degree in Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or related field 
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience managing and analyzing health data, developing and implementing health IT systems, and ensuring interoperability across various health technologies
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical informatics with VA system experience preferred,
• Relevant informatics certification(s)
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical terminologies, and interoperability standards 
PMP Certification
