An employer is looking for a Security Officer to sit in the Washington, D.C. area. This person will be scheduled on either the first 1st Shift (7:00AM - 3:30PM) or 2nd Shift (3:00PM -- 11:30PM) and will be responsible for providing security services and ensuring a safe environment for all staff and visitors. The security officer will be conducting floor patrols as well as investigating, documenting, and managing security incidents, hazards, and potential threats. It is imperative that this individual maintains knowledge and follows policies and procedures as they relate to alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Additionally, they might be involved in facilitating planned drill or simulations as well as training and mentoring staff on environment of care and emergency management processes and procedures. Also, the Security Officer will provide information and assistance to staff and visitors with the intention of promoting safety. Finally, this individual may also provide traffic and parking enforcement support within the campus area in addition to participating in foot and vehicle patrols.
At least 2 years of experience working in security, ideally in a clinical or hospital setting
Experience conducting floor patrols as well as investigating, documenting, and managing security incidents, hazards, and potential threats.
Experience following policies and procedures as they relate to alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (boosters not required)
Valid Driver's License
