Job Description

* Manage the complete AWS lifecycle, focusing on security, provisioning, and automation.

* Develop, integrate, and manage AWS VPC and other networking components.

* Establish metrics and carefully monitor AWS resource utilization using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk.

* Effectively monitor billing and develop cost optimization strategies.

* Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation.

* Automate repetitive manual tasks using PowerShell scripts.

* Provide valuable insights and recommendations on best practices and implementations from a systems administration perspective.

* Collaborate closely with the Security Engineer to meet NIST-800-53 controls and server STIG/vulnerability compliance.

* Maintain the architecture of multi-tier systems.

* Ensure access control and data integrity throughout the application life cycle.

* Work as part of a cross-functional operational team in a cloud-based, Windows 2019 OS environment.

* Occasionally provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 Help Desk support for operational duties, including security, configuration, networking, OS patching, application deployments, server upgrades, and 3rd-party software upgrades.

* Work onsite in Washington, DC alongside the customer.

Required Skills & Experience

* BS/BA Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's Degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience (in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, System Administration, Cyber Security).

* Strong demonstrated working experience in AWS cloud, including developing, integrating, and managing AWS instances.

* Cloud networking experience (Route Tables, NACLs, Security Groups, ports/protocols) for application functionality and firewall compliance.

* Technical subject matter expertise in designing, modifying, and debugging bare-metal and virtual Windows Servers.

* Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

* Experience in system hardening through GPO, registry, system configuration, and WSUS patch management.

* Knowledge or experience with Risk Management Framework and Authority to Operate (ATO).

* Strong communication skills.

* Ability to work closely with and engage the customer on a near-daily basis.

* 4 or more years of experience in systems administration and O&M tasks for Windows systems.

* Active Top Secret Clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* AWS GovCloud, SC2S, or C2S experience.

* Experience with Oracle RDS 19c databases.

* Security+ Certification.

* Certification as an AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate and/or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
