Job Description
* Our client, a Federal Contractor specializing in Management Consulting is looking to bring on a Communications Specialist to their team. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to document programs by underlining their strategic and tactical mission impact for strategic program communication products, ensuring that it is clear, concise, and consistent with complex technical standards and legal/regulatory requirements. This is a fully remote position. Primary responsibilities listed below:
o Revise and implement communications material that delivers consistent key messages to target audiences through appropriate channels that are consistent with branding, messaging, and digital (social media) strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, news stories, impact stories, training curriculum, documents, brochures, fact sheets, talking points, case studies, presentations, and web page copy.
o Develop and implement meaningful communications materials and outreach campaigns to foster awareness and engagement with the stakeholder community.
o Provide analysis and drafting of materials required by federal staff.
o Develop and refine processes to manage documentation throughout its lifecycle.
o Develop, maintain, and update, as needed, stakeholder user stories as well as key messages and desired actions for information sharing target audiences.
o Design infographics to distill key information in a clear manner.
o Provide professional, artistic, high-quality graphics, publication designs and multimedia to support efforts including but not limited to website, videos, presentations, documents, brochures, events, branding, and other communications materials.
o Document processes for content submissions for publication to public facing external websites or print submission.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (journalism, communications, english, etc..)
* 8+ years of working experience
* Recent 4+ years of creating written or digital material and content in a communications role
o Must have experience supporting a federal program
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Previous published work
Prior expirence supporting DHS or current DHS EOD clearance
