Job Description

Our large global manufacturing client is looking for an Intake and Delivery Lead to join their IT Strategy and Governance team, reporting into a new Lead Technical PMO. Our client is building a true, IT-focused Technical PMO (TPMO) to support a significant influx of enterprise IT demand, driven by organization-wide system upgrades and ongoing technology modernization efforts. The focus has shifted toward optimizing how technology initiatives are evaluated, prioritized, and delivered, making this TPMO the single point of entry into IT for both intake and execution. As part of this effort, the organization is seeking an Intake & Demand Lead to own the front end of IT demand management. This role ensures initiatives are clearly defined, properly vetted, and decision-ready before entering delivery. The Intake & Demand Lead will partner closely with IT, architecture, security, and business stakeholders, balancing the ability to ask the right technical questions while also managing business requirements and prioritization. The ideal candidate is digitally native, GenAI- and Copilot-forward, and highly organized, with a strong ability to translate business needs into structured, executable IT demand while maintaining speed and governance.

This is a hybrid position, 3-4 days onsite in Wilmington, DE, and the targeted pay rate would not exceed $65/hr.

Decision Rights
• Own intake processes, templates, and readiness criteria
• Accept or reject intake submissions based on completeness and readiness
• Assign demand categories (Run / Grow / Transform) and perform initial sizing
• Recommend priority sequencing and trade-offs for governance approval
• Trigger required risk, security, privacy, and Responsible AI reviews
• Approve “ready for prioritization” and “ready for delivery kickoff” status (within policy)
• Escalate exceptions and conflicts to the Lead TPMO

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in IT PMO, intake, demand management, or program coordination
• Experience supporting IT or technical portfolios in a structured governance environment
• Strong ability to translate business requests into well-defined, scoped IT initiatives
• Comfort partnering across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with portfolio prioritization models and demand categorization
• GenAI- and Copilot-native; actively uses AI tools to improve speed and quality of work

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working in Jira or similar intake/delivery tooling
