Job Description
Our client, a Global Advanced Materials and Chemical Manufacturer, is looking to add a CMM Programmer to their site in Newark, DE. This CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Programmer creates, maintains, and optimizes inspection routines using software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) to verify dimensional accuracy of manufactured parts against engineering blueprints and 3D models. They ensure compliance with quality standards, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and use GD&T knowledge for precision.

Key tasks for project success:
• Creating programs for tool sets
• Creating programs for parts
• Training inspectors (2) to program
• Training inspectors (2) to troubleshoot program
• Creating work instructions (running and verifying probes/heads)
• Training inspectors to run CMM
• Identify fixturing and proper mounting methods
• Identify proper measurement techniques

Required Skills & Experience
• 2-3 years of experience programing with PC-DMIS (minimum)
o Understands how to optimally mount parts to get accurate and consistent results
o Knows best practices for measurement
o Understands when a measurement is not going to be consistent
o Good trouble shooting abilities
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and print reading
• Understanding of how to manually measure parts (to corelate with CMM readings)
• Ability to train others (very important)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Level 2 certification
• Ability to create fixtures as needed (3-d modeling / printing)
