Job Description

A global manufacturing company is seeking a strong Data Engineer to join their Innovation Excellence organization! This individual will work within a global team responsible for driving ongoing digital transformation initiatives focused around Machine Learning & AI that impact R&D across global sites. This position sits remotely in India, is a year-long contract role with the possibility of extension and is an immediate need.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the transformation of unstructured data sources into standard approved structured backends
· Design and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for batch and real-time processing. Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring systems.
· Optimize infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency. Build and optimize data warehouses/lakes.
· Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Analysts.
· Serve as a liaison with vendors, project managers, and R&D scientists to develop and execute rollout strategies for smart laboratory operations, resolving data limitations as they arise.
· Identify siloed data sources and propose strategies to extract value through connectivity
· Develop and curate technical content for the Innovation Excellence digital network, facilitating knowledge sharing, training, and best practice dissemination across all DuPont locations.
· Support and develop data governance best practices for the multiple R&D labs across the DuPont enterprise. . Ensure data security, and compliance.
· Guide the adoption of modern data platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain web applications using the newly structured data

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Data Engineering with experience working with unstructured data from multiple sources
- Strong experience working within an Azure environment - deploying and managing industrial data solutions, including databases, web applications, etc.
- Expertise in SQL databases, Excel and Python coding
- Experience with Blob Storage and Databrick

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- Working experience within R&D, energy, chemical, or similar sectors
- Web UI development skills and Power App, Power BI knowledge
