A global manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Architect to join their team! As a part of their enterprise technology organization, this individual will be responsible for both ongoing BAU work as well as existing and new project initiatives related to the design, architecture, solution delivery, and engineering for their Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate should have extensive, in-depth knowledge of Azure, should have proven experience developing solutions related to the Azure platform, and previous experience working within, or consulting for, large, global, highly-matrixed organizations. Additionally, this individual should be able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams and 3rd party vendors, have strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment. This is an immediate need for a 6 month contract with the possibilities of extensions and this individual will be required to be onsite in Wilmington, DE 3 days/ week.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and Architecture: Develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure solutions tailored to business needs.
· Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and development teams.
· Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to deployment and maintenance.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify challenges, and propose effective solutions.
· Migration and Integration: Lead cloud migration projects and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
· Security and Compliance: Implement Azure security best practices, policies, and compliance measures.
· Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Azure services and applications.
· Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture designs, configurations, and processes.
Training and Development: Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and trends, and provide training to team members.
