Job Description
Our client is a major natural gas transmission company responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas throughout the Northeast. They own and operate critical pipeline infrastructure, compressor stations, measurement facilities, and related energy assets that support residential, commercial, and industrial energy needs.
They are seeking a Field Operations Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of pipeline facilities and associated equipment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance while working independently at a field location.
Responsibilities Include:

Support compressor stations, pumps, valves, fittings, measurement equipment, and corrosion control systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Respond to operational issues, alarms, and emergency callouts.
Assess field conditions, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate maintenance and operational records.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Support construction projects, facility upgrades, and system improvements.
Work independently while collaborating with a small field operations team.

Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, utility, or energy operations experience (open to less experience for highly technical candidates).
Working knowledge of pipeline maintenance and repair operations, including associated facilities, equipment, and appurtenances.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Strong technical and analytical skills developed through training, education, or hands-on experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a lean-staffed environment where reliability and accountability are critical.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (approximately once per month).
Valid driver's license.
