Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Marketing Finance Operations Specialist for a top consumer products client. This candidate will act as the key liaison between Marketing and Finance, managing the full lifecycle of financial operations including purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and budget tracking. They will support paid media and agency spend, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved budgets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in identifying process improvements, while collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and resolve financial issues in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day:
- Serve as the Finance Operations lead supporting the Marketing organization
- Manage end-to-end purchase order lifecycle (creation, tracking, maintenance)
- Process, reconcile, and track invoices ensuring timely payments
- Monitor budgets, accruals, commitments, and overall spend vs. plan
- Handle financial operations for paid media, agencies, and creative vendors
- Reconcile media invoices against contracts, plans, and POs
- Identify discrepancies, overages, and risks in agency and media spend
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, AP, and Marketing to resolve issues
- Participate in budget reviews, reporting updates, and forecasting exercises
- Drive process improvements and streamline financial workflows
- Develop tracking tools, documentation, and reporting for better visibility

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, procurement, or business operations
- Strong experience managing purchase orders, invoices, accruals, and budget tracking
- Hands-on experience with media invoices, agency billing, and spend reconciliation
- Experience working directly with marketing, media, or creative agencies
- Strong understanding of marketing spend categories (paid media, retainers, production, consulting)
- Proven ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues across stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial tracking/reporting tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting marketing teams in CPG, retail, or similar industries
- Familiarity with SAP or similar financial/procurement systems
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, accrual management, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of media buying processes and agency compensation models
- Experience with media reconciliation and financial audits
