Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support additive manufacturing initiatives within a fast-paced engineering environment. This individual will play a key role in driving project execution by managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring alignment across multiple engineering teams. The Project Engineer will partner closely with IPT leads, engineers, and lab personnel to coordinate project plans and proactively address risks or delays. Daily responsibilities include monitoring sub-task progress, following up with stakeholders, and removing roadblocks to maintain project momentum. This role requires a highly organized and self-driven individual who can anticipate challenges and keep projects moving forward efficiently. The team is continuing to expand its additive manufacturing capabilities, making this a critical support role to help scale operations. The ideal candidate has a technical background and is comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with frequent handoffs between teams. This is a fully onsite position based in East Hartford with strong potential for long-term growth and conversion.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or other STEM field) and 3+ years of technical engineering work
- 1–2 years of professional experience, including exposure to project-based work in a technical environment
- Experience using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheets, or similar)
- Strong organizational and project tracking skills with the ability to manage multiple task streams
- Ability to work cross-functionally and proactively communicate with engineering teams and stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Exposure to aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes and terminology
- Experience with metal powder processes (e.g., laser powder bed fusion)
- Experience working in lab environments or with materials testing teams
- Exposure to Agile project methodologies or frameworks
