Job Description
We are seeking a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to drive and mature its enterprise DLP program within a Microsoft security ecosystem. This individual will serve as the lead point of contact for DLP, working closely with engineering, project management, and risk teams to define strategy, provide governance oversight, and guide decision-making in a highly regulated environment handling sensitive financial data. The role will focus on advancing initiatives such as data classification and labeling within Microsoft Purview, expanding into data discovery, and aligning a long-term DLP roadmap with organizational needs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with DLP tools particularly Microsoft Purview, Defender, Azure, and M365. They should also brings hands-on knowledge of implementing DLP solutions, understanding platform nuances within the platform, and leveraging both built-in and custom trainable classifiers for sensitive data. This position requires someone who has deep, practical experience with DLP processes and governance, is comfortable providing high-level direction rather than purely hands-on execution, and can navigate a slower-moving, compliance-driven environment while advising on best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of experience as a security engineer focusing on MS Purview solutions
-Experience implementing MS Purview and advising on best practices
-Knowledge of Azure and MS tools (Defender, M365. etc)
-Previous experience working at a banking or financial institution
