Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager. This individual will play a key role in driving cross-functional initiatives that support operational efficiency and long-term planning within a highly regulated defense environment.
This person will partner closely with engineering, operations, and planning teams to manage schedules, track deliverables, and identify opportunities for process improvement. The ideal candidate brings a strong background within the defense industry and has experience leading multiple concurrent projects in complex, matrixed environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with enterprise planning goals, timelines, and deliverables
Coordinate across cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, planning, supply chain, etc.) to drive execution and remove blockers
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and reporting metrics
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications across all levels of the organization
Track project risks, dependencies, and action items to ensure successful delivery
Support strategic planning initiatives by organizing data, driving alignment, and ensuring execution of key priorities

Required Skills & Experience
5–10 years of experience in project management within a defense or highly regulated industry
Background in engineering, operations, or production planning
Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
Strong experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, timelines, and deliverables
Experience driving process improvement initiatives
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean certification
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Experience supporting shipbuilding, manufacturing, or large-scale engineering programs
Familiarity with enterprise planning systems, scheduling tools, or ERP platforms
