Job Description

We are seeking a Secret Cleared Fire Control Technician to support advanced submarine combat systems modernization efforts. This individual will join a high-performing technical team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting mission-critical combat control systems in a fast-paced, operational environment. This is a full-time position based in Groton, CT.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support across a range of engineering activities including installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and operation of submarine combat control systems
- Perform system diagnostics, evaluations, and corrective actions in accordance with defense and military maintenance and cybersecurity procedures
- Support systems engineering efforts by contributing subject matter expertise across hardware and software components
- Assist with system testing, validation, and verification to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Support disassembly, reassembly, installation, and operational testing of combat system components
- Execute engineering change actions and assist in implementing system modifications and upgrades
- Develop and update technical documentation including maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, technical manuals, and system drawings
- Serve as an on-site technical interface supporting installation, testing, system surveys, and engineering activities
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, technical specifications, and test procedures, and support review of system change proposals
The compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 per year depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- Active Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain one
- Technical training (military or trade school) beyond high school and at least 5 years of relevant experience in a related field
- Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing shipboard combat systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and mission success
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow technically

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Background working with submarine or naval weapons/control systems
- Familiarity with complex integrated systems involving both hardware and software components
