Job Description
The HIM Specialist I supports Health Information Management (HIM) operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of discharged patient records. This role is responsible for collecting, prepping, scanning, and indexing patient charts into Epic, ensuring all documentation is complete, compliant, and properly labeled. They will need to process 30 records per day on average.

Required Skills & Experience
-High school diploma/ Associate’s degree
- 1+ year of experience in HIM, medical records, or healthcare administration preferred
-Experience with document scanning and indexing processing
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Ability to walk throughout the hospital to each unit
-Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Epic or other EMR systems (strongly preferred)
