Job Description

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining decision services using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).The individual will build reusable rule assets and object models that align with enterprise standards and support shared-service reuse initiatives. They will integrate ODM decision services with upstream and downstream systems through APIs and service-based architectures, leveraging REST and SOA patterns. Additionally, they will participate in CI/CD processes to ensure reliable and consistent deployments, utilizing modern engineering practices and version control. The role also involves providing production support, including troubleshooting and performance tuning of decisioning services, while ensuring alignment with monitoring and observability standards. Success in this position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architecture, DevOps, product, and QA, within an Agile environment to deliver high-impact business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on IBM ODM experience (required) building and supporting decision services.
Strong understanding of service-oriented/API-based architectures (REST integration patterns).
Comfort working in enterprise environments with standardized release processes, governance, and documentation expectations.

Candidates must have at least one of the following (in addition to ODM):
1. AWS migration experience (e.g., migrating ODM or related services from on-prem to AWS / cloud modernization).
2. Claude AI experience (hands-on integration, enablement, or implementation exposure in a dev context). IBM Watsonx experience (ex: Watsonx Orchestrate / Watsonx ecosystem exposure alongside decisioning/automation).
