Location: Greater Hartford, CT (West Hartford, Manchester, Middletown, Simsbury, Hamden)
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Setting: Multi-site outpatient allergy and asthma clinic
Position Overview
A large, established allergy and asthma practice is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Greater Hartford area (West Hartford, Manchester, Middletown, Simsbury, and Hamden). The RN will be assigned to one clinic per shift and administer allergy immunotherapy injections, verifying patient identity, serum vial, and correct dosage on scheduled 15-minute intervals. Between injections, responsibilities include refills, patient calls, booking, prior authorizations, vaccines, and supporting provider needs, with the RN serving as the primary clinical responder alongside the provider in emergencies. Medical assistants handle all other hands-on patient care, while administrative staff support non-clinical task
Key Responsibilities
Administer allergy immunotherapy injections in a high-volume outpatient setting
Verify patient identity, serum vial, and correct dosage prior to administration
Monitor and manage multiple patients receiving injections on a scheduled 15-minute rotation
Administer additional injections and vaccines as ordered by the provider
Act as the primary clinical responder alongside the provider in the event of an emergency
Collaborate with medical assistants and administrative staff (medical assistants handle all other hands-on patient care)

Required Skills & Experience
Requirements
Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current CPR certification
Ability to reliably commute to all five clinic locations as scheduled
