Job Description

About the Role
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to support complex, facility‑based engineering projects across critical infrastructure systems. This role is ideal for a hands‑on mechanical engineer with strong project coordination experience in heavy industrial or facilities environments who is comfortable owning technically complex systems and interfacing with multiple oversight groups.
You will be responsible for managing mechanical systems from design through execution, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and support projects involving a wide range of mechanical systems and industrial equipment, including:
○ Water systems (fire protection, potable water, sewage)
○ Compressed gas systems (nitrogen, argon, oxygen, propane)
○ Compressed air systems (high‑pressure and low‑pressure)
○ Boiler and steam systems
○ HVAC and industrial ventilation
○ Submarine support systems (land‑based steaming, saltwater cooling)
○ Wastewater treatment and water purification systems
• Serve as the primary mechanical engineering point of contact for assigned projects
• Support design reviews, equipment inspections, system troubleshooting, and field execution
• Ensure systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
• Maintain project documentation and provide clear technical communication to stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
○ Facilities engineering
○ Construction engineering
○ Heavy industrial environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage projects independently in an active field environment
• Solid mechanical fundamentals and willingness to learn new systems and standards
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications (Plusses)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience inspecting mechanical or industrial equipment
• Hands‑on experience with:
○ Compressed gas systems
○ Saltwater cooling systems
○ HVAC systems
