Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Materials Project Engineer support materials processes for a client in East Hartford. They would be working on engines, ensuring program alignment, managing projects, aiding design revies, and coaching on best practices. The engineer will partner closely with technology leaders and CIPT stakeholders to set up, execute, and close annual project objectives, managing budgets, reducing technical risk, and translating creative ideas into funded business propositions that deliver value to engine programs. The team operates in a small, highly collaborative environment and functions as an owner group—working with structures and components but remaining independent from early-stage lab or design ownership. Candidates must be able to speak the technical “lingo” to build trust with engineering and technology partners and act as a true thought partner across programs. The ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance is highly valued due to military program support. This team strongly encourages career development and advancement; however, candidates with engineering management-focused degrees or backgrounds are not desired—this role is intended for hands-on technical engineers with a materials or science-based foundation.
